Coinbase Commerce 400k milestone on Shopping.io

Shopping.io has accumulated $400,000 in ecommerce transactions on the platform’s most used payment processor, Coinbase Commerce.

Coinbase Commerce is Coinbase’s own payment processing service giving merchants the option to accept crypto as a form of payment. Coinbase Commerce can be directly integrated into a merchant’s checkout flow or added as a payment option on an e-commerce platform. With just an email address and a phone, merchants can sign up and begin accepting payments. Coinbase Commerce allows merchants to accept payments using Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, DAI, Ethereum, Dogecoin USD Coin, USDT, APE Coin, Shiba and Litecoin, with payments being sent directly to a merchant wallet.

Shopping.io has utilized Coinbase Commerce over the past year to streamline our shopping experience and to give users a wider range of payment avenues for online payments through eBay, Walmart, and Home Depot.

Since the integration of Coinbase Commerce on July 16th 2021, it has facilitated the bulk of all transactions on Shopping.io, channelling 48% of all order fulfillments. Coinbase Commerce has aided Shopping.io in tapping into the crypto e-commerce market in the USA. This being said, transactions through Coinbase Commerce are highest in the USA at 97% with the top coins used being Ethereum, Bitcoin and Litecoin. Purchases through Coinbase commerce range from Lego sets and Nespresso capsules to iPhones, GoPros, and Oculus Headsets. These sales have had such a profound effect that we are now celebrating over $400,000 in transactions.
